I have just replaced my mish mash of old knives with this set. Very pleased. It is a really comprehensive selection including a cleaver which I have always wanted and a tomato knife which I am finding very useful. The knives are a joy to use and having the block with everything in its place is safe and neat.

I’ve saved up to buy quite a few pans from SKK after my experience with using the first of them. They’re quite heavy, feel indestructable, and are pretty versatile with their detachable handles, meaning you can place them and lift them from a hot oven relatively easily. They’re possibly not the most attractive things to look at, but I’m following function instead of form and haven’t been disappointed.

I made the mistake of buying the SKK Pan for my wife because I burnt the bottom of her favourite milk pan whilst boiling an egg (True!). She is a very keen cook, and having used this SKK pan now wants to build up a set …. so I’m buying one a month. If my wife thinks they’re good believe me they must be. She won’t let me try boiling eggs in it though.

Compared to the hand blenders I have had before this is in a class of its own. When making vegetable soup the effect was incredibly light and fluffy. It feels solid and well made so I am hoping for a long life as most people on the forums I have looked at claim.

I have just ditched my Le Creuset Frying pans in favour of Scanpans. These pans are comparatively light and provide excellent heat distribution – which is ideal for me as I have a halogen hob. I am constantly amazed by the sheer ‘slippiness’ of these pans. They allow hassle free dry-frying and are incredibly easy to wash. After a few months regular use the pans are still looking as good as new. With my old set (and previous sets) this was never the case, and the coating eventually wore off. So much for 25 year guarantees!

I bless the day that I bought my Scapan frying pan. It is – quite simply – by far the best frying pan I’ve ever had in all my long, long life. It cooks beautifully and is incredibly easy to clean.

Amazingly, it is as light as a feather (which would be a great boon to anyone with the misfortune to suffer from arthritis).
I was brought up to believe that only a cast iron pan gave proper heat-distribution and eliminated hot spots, but Scanpan gives the lie to that old tale.

I recommend this frying pan without any reservation.

I love this coffee maker! It makes really good coffee and keeps it hot for around half an hour with no loss of flavout. Easy to use and pours with no drips at all. Tip: make sure you put the cover on BEFORE you put the hot water in!
